LEAGUE INFORMATION

FOOTBALL LEAGUE RULES

1. The commissioner has the final word
2. Quarterback is allowed 1 run every 4 downs
   
3. You are allowed 3 timeouts per half
   
4. You need only 1 foot in bounds
   
5. There are 4-15 minute quarters, the clock runs continuously except for the last 2 minutes of each half
   
6. The offensive team can try for a 1 pt. Conversion from the 5 yd. Line, a 2 pt. Conversion from the 10 yd. Line, or a 3 pt. Conversion from the 15 yd. Line
   
7. The field is 80 yds. With a 1st down at the 40 yd. line
   
8. If a baseball cap is worn, it must be worn backwards
   
9. 6 vs. 6 players at a time. A team is allowed to play with 5 players, but if you have 6 or more players you must play with 6
   
10. The center must snap/throw the ball to the quarterback
    
11. The quarterback is the only player that can fumble the ball (behind the line of scrimmage) and pick it up
    
12. There are no fumbles, the ball is considered dead
    
13. *Defensive team must wait 3 seconds; 1,2, whistle (referee’s whistle) before rushing the quarterback
    
14. Quarterback must touch the ball
    
15. There are no running plays, except for kickoffs/punts
    
16. When the offensive team punts, only the two outside players may run down the field. Once the ball is kicked other players may travel
    
17. Any players in the backfield results in automatic rush by the defense
    
18. There are no cadence calls by the defensive team
    
19. This is one hand touch football, not ROUGH touch (referee’s discretion)
    
20. *College overtime applies; each team will start at the opponents 25yd. line, after the third attempt and a touchdown is scored, you MUST try for a 3pt. conversion
    
21. The official game ball is NFL size
    
22. There are no metal spikes
    
23. All teams are required to wear the same colored shirts with the same name/logo
    
24. If a team chooses to protest a game it costs $25. The team has 24 hrs. to protest. If the team wins the protest, the money is returned
    
25. Any rule not written will follow NFL rules and/or the discretion of the league
    
26. THE WINNING TEAM MUST CALL THEIR SCORE IN TO MARK (609)980-9507 OR I WILL ASSUME BOTH TEAMS LOST
    
27. You CAN defer your choice at the coin toss
28. If a player is ejected from a game he must sit the next game (league discretion)
    
29. Rosters are limited to 15 players
    
30. You cannot add a player on your roster after the 4th game, so you have the first 4 weeks of the season to add/delete players
    
31. You must keep your hands up and in front of you when blocking (no elbows or forearms)
    
32. The FIRST contact with the center must come from within 5yds. OF THE CENTER.
    
33. There will be NO abuse of any kind toward the officials, such abuse can result in suspension or expulsion from the league
    
34. Rosters will be checked, if a player is NOT on a team’s roster, team will FORFEIT game AND PRIZE MONEY. A player must play in at least 1 game to be eligible for the playoffs.
35. *Mercy rule will be in effect; at the 10 minute mark of the 4th quarter, if you are losing by 30 points or more, the game is over.  This will not apply in the playoffs.
    
36. Games must start no later than 15 minutes after scheduled game time, there will be no "waiting" for players.  If you have 5 players you MUST start the game, if not, it will result in a forfeit and the loss of your forfeit money.
